What does the Amsler grid test detect?

It screens for abnormalities in central vision such as distortion, wavy lines, or dark spots that may indicate macular issues. This is not a medical diagnosis — consult an eye doctor if concerned.

How should I perform the test?

Sit about 30–35 cm from the screen. Cover one eye and fixate on the center dot with the other, looking for distortion or missing areas. Repeat for both eyes.
